Welcome, I’m Glad You’re Here!
Hi, my name is Jessica :-)
My work explores the profound process of introspection and transformation that follows trauma. Through themes of betrayal, abuse, suicide, and religious conditioning, I seek to understand what it means to heal and to become the best version of oneself. Working intuitively, I layer mixed media—digital and traditional painting, gold leaf, and vibrant color—to mirror the layered nature of healing. Each layer is a dialogue between intuition, memory, and renewal, guided by music and emotion.
Symbolism plays a central role in my visual language: anatomical hearts and skeletal forms express the raw depth of pain and healing, while wings, and gold embody the tension between suffering, liberation, and hope. These images emerge from my personal experiences—leaving a high-demand religion, reconciling with family secrets, and learning to release the weight of inherited shame.
Ultimately, my art is a mirror. I want viewers to see their own humanity reflected back at them—the sorrow, the resilience, and the joy that coexist within every act of healing. My purpose is to hold space for those moments of recognition, where pain transforms into understanding and self-acceptance.
